The Plates and Quick Release Clamps are compatible with the Arca Swiss  mounting system. IE: Kirk, Really Right Stuff. Be advised that the safety stop may not work when interchanging brands of plates and clamps. Quick release plates will work in any of the clamps. If you use a longer plate it will give you more adjustment to balance the lens camera combination on the ball head. The extra adjustment can be very helpful when using long lenses on a ball head.

The Giotto’s products on the following pages represent some of the best equipment for your photographic budget that only a few other makers come close to  the Giotto’s Line in quality including products that cost much more. All the customers that we have sold a Giotto’s Ball head to have been exceptionally happy with their purchase.

A good tripod and head are the most important pieces of equipment a photographer needs to own. Nothing will improve your image quality more than using a proper tripod.

A highly rated expensive lens will not deliver the tack sharp images it was designed to produce if it is not properly supported.  When selecting a tripod and head the rule is bigger is better, but do not go so large that you are unwilling to carry the unit with you.
A state of the art tripod and head will do nothing to improve your images if it’s left sitting in the trunk of your car while you’re out creating images.

With the introduction of the Giotto’s professional series of carbon fiber tripods and mono pods almost every photographer can now own a state of the art camera support system.

It's been said by more than one  top professional fine art photographer. How is someone viewing your image going to care about your image if you did not think the image was worth using a tripod to capture?
Some of my best photos are useless beyond a small print because I didn’t follow this advice at times and failed to use any type of camera support.

The smaller the format of camera that you are using the more  important of a sturdy rock solid tripod becomes. This is true with both film and digital.
Image sharpening will not save a fuzzy image when the image is enlarged... the lack of sharpness will be very apparent.
